Henry Smith (c. 1560–1591) was a prominent English preacher and Puritan during the late 16th century. Born around 1560, he became known for his powerful and influential sermons that drew large congregations. Smith’s preaching style was marked by vivid language, passionate delivery, and a deep commitment to Puritan ideals.

Smith served as a lecturer at St. Clement Danes in London and later at St. Alphege, London Wall. His sermons were not only spiritually stirring but also addressed the social and moral issues of his time, reflecting the broader Puritan concern for moral reform within the Church of England.
