Return Policy and FAQs

What is your return policy?

Books

We offer a 14-day return policy on all book orders unless otherwise noted in the product description (rare). Buyer pays return shipping. Item must be returned in as-new and unread condition.

Upon contacting us (info@protopressbooks.com) within 14 days of having received the book(s), we will issue you a shipping label which you may use to send the book(s) back to us. We will deduct the price of the return shipping from the amount to be refunded. We use USPS Media Mail for return shipping and all rates are visible at the USPS website. If you would like to make other arrangements please let us know and we can work with you!

Apparel and Accessories

We are unable to offer returns/refunds for apparel and accessories at this time, with the exception of errors and misprints.

Damaged items, errors, or misprints

Should your item(s) arrive and be damaged or contain what you believe to be an error, please contact us immediately and we will work to provide you with a satisfactory solution - typically a replacement. Please email us (info@protopressbooks.com) with a picture and description of your issue so we can assist you better.

When can I expect my order?

Books

We work hard to keep up our inventory, but as a small company we are still somewhat limited. If the book(s) you ordered are in stock locally you can expect your order to arrive in about a week or so. If we are out of stock locally the turnaround time may take about 2-3 weeks. We are working on providing you with the ability to track your order from start to finish, but currently we are only able to provide a tracking number once your item has shipped.

Apparel and Accessories

Depending on the item ordered, your order should arrive within about 5-10 working days.

What is the quality like?

As is the case with many Christian book sellers who sell old works by Puritans and the like (such as Reformation Heritage Books and Banner of Truth), we reprint many of these works from older, previously published manuscripts. While we work hard to ensure that every page is clear and legible, there may at times be marks or smudges along the margins of the text. We try to clean up and eliminate these as much as possible, but occasionally such markings may show up. We guarantee that each page is readable and pleasing to the eye. We mention all this only to assuage any surprise you may have should you come across a mark in the margins or column of a text. All hardcover books use case binding. We look forward to being able to offer Smyth sewn binding in the future.
